The most antioxidant-rich of the green teas. These high quality, organically grown, sencha tea leaves are grown on a family-run farm in the famous Uji region of Japan. This is one of the few Japanese teas to be certified organic under the USDA seal. Sencha leaves are prized for having the highest antioxidant levels of the catechin EGCG, vitamin C & vitamin E. Enjoy this smooth and revitalizing tea in numerous beverage and food choices. Maximize the health benefits by consuming the whole leaf.
Many of the health benefits associated with green tea are attributed to regular consumption. Think beyond the cup. Use these health-promoting leaves on salads, in dips, stir-fry, in baking items, or our favorite…in our very own morning smoothie recipe.

| Green tea leaves contain the powerful antioxidant compounds known as catechins (which contain the powerful EGCG), vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, E, niacin, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene, potassium, manganese, zinc, copper and naturally occurring fluoride. Green tea is also a good source of proteins, chlorophyll, lignin, and amino acids including theanine. On average sencha has 30% more catechins (antioxidants), more than 4 times as much vitamin C and 2.5 times more vitamin E. | |

Special Note | Benefits | |
|
| More than half of the nutrients in green tea such as beta-carotene, vitamin E, vitamin A, chlorophyll, and dietary fiber are insoluble in water, so are therefore not released in brewed tea. Take full advantage of the benefits of this amazing herb. Eat your tea! | |
